I'm finally home after my whirlwind trip to Spain
and I had such an amazing time it’s almost easy to ignore my horrible jet lag
Please forgive me if this edition of my newsletter is a little garbled, I spent most of yesterday feeling like I’d somehow been jettisoned off onto another planet. Hopefully I’ll get used to my own timezone and back into the swing of stringing sentences together soon!
Valencia was beautiful – lots of sun, delicious food, fabulous art and architecture. I got to spend a whole week by the pool with some of my favorite people in the world, my author buddies – Heather G Harris, Annabel Chase, Hannah Lynn (Ella Stone), Lynn Morrison, Debra Dunbar, Deborah Wilde and more.
Not only that, I got to meet some incredible writers for the first time, like McKenzie Hunter, Eliza Raine, Ann Charles and Karina Espinosa, and I was delighted to find out they are all as awesome in person and as fun as their books. There’s nothing better than tapas, sangria, and making new friends.
Now that I’m back, I’m full steam ahead preparing for the release of the first book in my brand new series, A Legacy of Vengeance and Magic. I’m so excited for Rose’s story to launch, I know you’re going to love it.
An early beta reader said she’s “instantly obsessed” and buzzing with excitement for the next one. There’s a character from The Hidden City Supernatural Sleuth making a debut as the main sidekick in this series. You’ll never guess who it is!
WHAT’S GIVING ME LIFE/DRAINING ME DRY THIS MONTH:
Dry eyes are getting better:
Thanks to your tips, I’ve been feeling a lot better and actually managed to wear my contact lenses while I was on vacation. Win!
The Great Sock Wars:
Alas, I am defeated. I came home to a decimated sock drawer, and honestly I don’t have the energy to rally and launch myself into battle again right now. So, the new plan is to recover from my jet lag, mount a search-and-rescue for my socks, then construct some decent defenses so my precious babies stay safe.
Currently Reading:
I’ve just finished Annabel Chase’s Tea and Tarot (brilliant as always) and I’m reading a hilarious book by my new friend Ann Charles called Dearly Departed in Deadwood. It’s snappy and witty and so, so funny, I’m enjoying it emensely.
Okay, on to some book news!
One big bite – Pre-order now
Denn manchmal … geht dein Wunsch tatsächlich in Erfüllung.
Here’s me in Valencia after too much sangria. No regrets!
Until next time
